ANALYSIS: Do harmonic analysis of an 8-measure portion of the song which employs a secondary dominant of some sort.

PRESENTATION: Present your song to the class, explaining the 8-measure passage in terms of harmony.

MATERIALS: Have copies, which include your harmonic analysis, of your song for me AND each class member. I would also REALLY like for you to share a recording of the song with the class so we can hear what your analysis describes.

GRADING: 25 points, as follows:

  • Correct analysis: 10
